Welcome to Rainbow Dragons Abreast

Rainbow Dragons Abreast (RDA) are breast cancer survivors who have chosen to assume responsibility for their own health, wellbeing and fitness through participation in the sport of dragon boating.
Our members find the active and vigorous exercise of dragon boat paddling enhances their physical and emotional wellbeing within a context of caring companionship. We have fun; enjoy the challenge, friendship and exercise component of paddling regardless of age, athletic ability, fitness level, cultural background and interests. We encourage breast cancer survivors (male or female) to live an active and adventurous life despite the physical limitation imposed by breast cancer surgery and treatment. Our long term survivors may be able to provide guidance and support for new members who are on the breast cancer journey allowing the survivor to have more confidence in dealing with issues that may arise in getting back to good health.

Our designated training session is Sunday mornings from 8.00 am to 9.30am at the Sport and Recreation Centre, Lake Ainsworth, Lennox Head. Arrive for the session at 7.40am.

Paddles + PDF's (personal floatation devices) are available for persons who are not confident swimmers.
